Scope/Summary:
 
The A-200 project is an extension, but separate building, to the A-200 Police Academy. The new building is designated as the Police Academy Tactical Training Facility.  It is a single story,  concrete masonry unit structure with approximately 8,750 square feet of operational space. The “Mat” room for specialty hand-to-hand tactical training is approximately 2,100 square feet which includes moveable partition walls, a trolley system for tackling dummy set up, and an audio visual simulator for realistic simulated training. There are four large locker and shower areas for male and female cadets as well as male and female instructors. There are 130 lockers and 54 individual showers for male cadets. There are 32 lockers and six showers for female cadets. There is over 250 square feet of storage area for the training facility. The combined HVAC systems will provide over 13,000 cubic teet per minute of circulated air with over 45 Tons of cooling.
