Scope/Summary:
This project consisted of the renovation of the Library Resource Center ("R" building) building by installation of
solar panels
, conversion of 15,000 square feet of parking garage space into faculty offices, student classrooms, and support spaces. The project completed successfully in 2007, coming in under budget. Remaining funds were reallocated to support various Propositions S & N funded project at City College, as recommended by the
Citizens’ Oversight Committee
and appointed by the Board of Trustees. The project obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.
