Student Resource & Welcome Center
|
|
Scope/Summary: The project consisted of the major renovation of Miramar’s former interim library (an existing 10,140-square-foot, single-story, steel- and wood-framed building) to serve as the new Student Resource and Welcome Center. The facility was designed as an integral component of the recently opened Student Service Center. The west entrance of this new building houses the Welcome Center, which includes Outreach and Assessment/Testing Services. The east entrance connects students to a state-of-the-art wellness and Student Health Center. The new building also houses permanent office and meeting space for the San Diego Miramar College Academic Senate.
